November 26, 2024

Michael P. Scanlon secured a $5.75 million settlement for a Chicagoland family after Gary Luke, a Sauk Village police officer, initiated a pursuit after witnessing a vehicle speeding and littering. The fleeing vehicle crashed into the family's home, severely injuring a minor.

Defendants filed multiple motions for summary judgment, arguing that they were immune from liability. Michael won all motions, and the case settled shortly before trial was set to begin.
