Michael Scanlon is an Associate Attorney at Healy Scanlon Law Firm. Michael graduated in the top third of his class at DePaul University College of Law. While at DePaul University College of Law, Michael received two CALI “Excellence for the Future” Awards. These awards recognize that Michael received the highest grade in his class for Evidence and for Conflict of Laws, two significant subject areas in personal injury law. Michael has received recognition as a “Top 40 under 40” for Civil Plaintiff Litigation from the National Trial Lawyers.


Michael has personally attained the following results for his clients:


  • $5,750,000 for a family injured in a crash caused by a high-speed police chase that was initiated for littering and speeding.


  • $3,200,000 for a pipefitter injured as a result of a fall from a ladder at a jobsite. 


  • $1,500,000 for the family of a man killed in a collision with a semi-truck.


  • $1,219,592 for a pipefitter injured in a car crash caused by the road rage of two semi-truck drivers.


  • $600,000 for a client who slipped and fell on produce at a grocery store. 


  • $477,404 for a client who fractured her wrist in a crash.


  • $325,000 verdict for a client who tripped on a sidewalk crack resulting in a tibia/fibula fracture.


  • $300,000 for a client who sustained multiple fractures after dumping his motorcycle to avoid a collision. The client was traveling 60-mph in a 25-mph zone.


  • $300,000 for a minor client who was injured when she was hit off her bike by another biker.


  • $275,000 for a client whose mother sustained an undocumented tibia fracture in a nursing home.


  • $260,000 for a client whose father fell in a nursing home and sustained cervical fractures.



  • $250,000 for a client who was t-boned in a car crash.
